A. REVIVAL IN; COEQMANDEL MINING.. (By Teleßraph.-Special Correspondent.) Auckland,. July 29. • ■ A, revival in .Coromandel mining-■ is taking place," and the rich .ore discovery at the Eoyal Oak, Mine is giving a fillip to-the'-Tokatea group and the Coromaudcl stock'generally. 'It is stated that the Royal Oak Mine ha 6 entered, upon a most important/epoch in its history. Tho oldest hands say they have never seen the precious metal so coarse "and heavy in the stone as is now being obtained in thb reef cast of the bar of hard country at No. G level..'Between this .level* and No. 7 there is a block df virgin'ground absolutely intact, with over ,200 ft- of backs, while there are several hundred feet from No. G to .the surface. Quite recently over J6IOOO worth of gold was obtained immediately abovo, the present workings, whence tho specimen stone is being won. A gold-bearing band fully 9in. wide is at present [showing through the reef for 4ft. in the winze sunk below No. G level. Up to the present the Royal-Oak has produced bullion to the value of .£290,000, having paid nearly .£IOO,OOO in dividends.- ]t appears thatin'tho near future the mine will again enter the dividend lists, as it is at present paying its way. ■". Rich :ore i.s also reported in the winze at the Hauraki Freeholds Mine, and 1 gold was seen when: breaking down in the Kopurukaitai Mine at Coromandcl. \
