V; AND RESERVES. ■ ■' The' Baths and /Reserves Committee recommended:—(l) That-permission bo granted to the Wellington Football Association to' ch'argo for admission to the Basin Reservo on Satur-. day* next, on tho occasion"of the match, Wellington, v..•Canterbury./; (2) That /the City Engineer be instructed to proceed with tho erection of: dressing-rooms at Kelburne Park and '■ Duppa Street Park, tho cost having beon included in the estimates. (3) That the City Engineer bo instructed to procoed with the formation of culverting and /levelling work at Kilbirnio recreation leservc. ..The report ,was adopted. ', Tho .Libraries Committee recommended :— (1) That the subscription for the children's department remain as at present (ss. per annum) till tho end-.of tho financial year, when the matter will bo again reviewed. (2) That tho English nowspapers "Nation" and "The -Westminster Gazette" be filed attho Central Library. The committee also reported having prepared a schodulo of charges for the letting of the lecture hall and rooms of the Newtown Library. Also, that thoy are having a report from the chief librarian for nest, meeting, suggesting means of advertising the libraries, bo as to inoroase their popularity. • • Tie report.wm adopted*
