NEW SOUTH WALES BILL. (By Telcgraph.-Pross Association -Copyright I (R s ee. July 29, 5.20 p.m.) ' Sydney, July 29. Tho Government will introduce a Dofamation Hill to give further protection to newspapers. Provision i 3 made relieving newspapers from accumulation of punishment. Where a libel has been in circulation through a number of nowspapors, the Court shall have power to consolidate a senea of actions, so that the whole shall be tried by one jury, which will assess the total damages, .Relief is also given where a defendant could prove that damages had been given against another, defendant on acount of a similar libel.
