The next contest will take-place on the club's green. • The club was well represented at the bowling tournaments inaugurated by the Wellington Bowling Centre, the institution of which is appreciated by' members. The contest /.'that- evoked the most enthusiasm was : the -three-match game- against I the, Petorie Club for/ the possession of the handsome ./cup : donated .by Dr. Ross and Mr. 0. Steven's for annual competition tween chibs. Apart from-the ' interest displayed by- the tennis player's-.who represented ::tho club inr the junior'' tennis' contest, your committee ■ regret there was, a decided falliiig-off in the attendance and enthusiasm of some of the other players as compared with the previous year. That tho players engaged in the competition had reaped advantage therefrom was manifest by. the -success attending their efforts, at the various tennis tournaments. at' which they competed. The following club competitions were played during the season:—Junior singles, won by B. Ollerhshaw; president's medal, won by B. Ollernshaw: club championship, won by Gt./Cudby; ladies' handicap singles, won by Miss G. ''Poster:' men's handicap singles, won by C. A. Mirams. The membership now stands at 153, viz., 76 bowlere and .77 tennis players. The resignations for the year numbofed-39, and 35 new members were elected. Under.the capable supervision of the Ground Committee and the careful attention of tho. caretaker, Sir. C.
