The demonstration against tho forthcoming visit of tho Tsar to England brought largo cro>vds to Trafalgar Square. Two processions wero formed, with bands and banners bearing uncomplimentary inscriptions regarding the Tsar's visit. Mr. Kcir Hardio (Labonr M.P.), addressing tho crowd, said they were representing neither King nor Government, but tho power that made Kings and Governments.

A resolution protesting against tho official reception of tho Tsar was carried after speoclios had been iriado by Mr. Ramsay Macdonald (chairman of tho Independent Labour Party), Mr. H. M. Hyndman (Socialist), Mr. Ben Tillctt (trade unionist), and Mr. Bernard Shaw (Fabian Socialist).
