I Miv Charlee Freer Crawford, a Maori war veteran', and joungest son of the late Gen- I eral A. F. Crawford, E.A., died suddenly, in New Plymouth on Saturday night. Mr. Crawford had goao out for a walk add fell down unconscious, expiring before medical aid was > procurable. Mr, T. Ingram, having severed his connection with To Aro House after twenty years' continuous service with tho firm, was presented, last Saturday night, with a liand'some piece of silver, suitably inscribed, ifr. Thos. I'oreyth, in making the presentation on behalf of tho employees, expreosed their regret at the parting and their good wishes for the ' future. Jlr. Tompsett, general manager, on behalf of_ the company, presented Mr. lngiam with a solid silver smoker's companion, and spoke apprecia- , tively of the services rendered by him during his long period at to Aro House. It is Mr. Ingram's ■ intention, to go into business for himself.
