The annual meeting of; tho Wellington branch of th« New Zealand? Educational Institute was held last evening, the president, Mr, H.A.Parkinson, being in the chair. There was a fairly good attendance of; ihembers. The annual report and balance-sheet (already published). were adopted. •
Speaking to the motion for the adoption of the annual report, Mr. Win. Foster -referred to the very valuable assistance given by tha Wellington press in tho interests of the teachins profession. j : , i The following officerswore elected for the ensuing year!— President, Mr;> George Flux; vicc-prcsidents, Messrs. A. M'Kenzio and Robert Darroch; secretary, Mr: E. H. Ballacheyj treasurer, Mr. G. M. Tlchderson; auditor, Mr.. Charles linrv; Management ' Committee, Mr. H.: A; Parkinson, and .Misses Bright, Craig, and Chatuin.
