The annual meeting of St. Andrew's Church was held last night, when reports were read from the session, Sunday, school, and Bible classes. The report": of the session stated that \ communicants numbered 153. Pour Sunday schools wore conducted,' viz., at Hastings, Omahu, Tomoana, and Mahora, with-a total roll number pf 222-and 16 teachers, and three Bibfe classes were held-in connection with ithochurch: /'There had been 44 baptisms,- and ■ 28" v marriages. :•,■' A. ■ vote of thanks was passed for a legacy of £100 By the late Mr.. Donald M'Leod, one of the founders, and also to Mr.' D. Scannell for legal workand advice given, arid ito Mr. James, architect, for preparing plans and overlooking the work of alteration to the church. It: was ! agreed that; in- future, church,sittings be free, arid that- voluntary subscriptions be;iuade to the stipend fund instead.. Votes of thanks were passed--to Messrs,'J. Barbour (session clerk), W.'H. Collins (secretary),; W. Ai "Carter (treasurer), and Jones and David Whyto, : auditors. ' '
