Princess Beatrice is, therefore, tho granddaughter of the late Queen Victoria of Great-Britain and nkco of King Edward. King Alfonso himself wooed an English princess and a Protestant, Princess Ena of Batixmburg, like Princess Beatrioo, is a 'granddaughter of the late Queen Victoria and a niece of King Edward. Princess Ena was contorted to the Roman Catholic Chnrch.
