THE ELCHO SHIELD MATCH. (By Telegraph.-Press Association-Copyright > ,(Rec. July 18, 5 p.m.) ~/, London, July 17. The firing for the Eloho Shield at the 1909 Bisley meeting of the National Rifle Association resulted in a win for England by 24 points. Tho 'aggregate scores were:— ' England ..< - ... "„.'' ...' 1717 Scotland ... _ ._ 1693 Ireland ... ... ' ... ... 1650 England won the shield last year, .the agnogate figures beine-.-England, 1689; , Scotland, 1673; Ireland, IGOO. The Elcho Shield match is a 15-shot contest at 800, 900, and 1000 yards.
