The team-will play Taranaki at Auckland on Saturday, August 7, for the, championship' challenge shield, 1 and leave - for the south on Tuesday, August 10, play . Wanganui . on
Thursday, August 12, Wellington August 14, Canterbury August 19, Dtmedin August 21, Southland'at Tnyercargill August 25, and, Manawatu-at Palmcrston on August 28, returning to Auckland by the Main Trunk railwav on! 1 the morning of Sunday, August 29. Matches cannot be played with Nelson and Taranaki, owing to boat arrangements proving unsuitable. The Now Zealand Association has notified the Auckland body that no matches other than the Taranaki match will have, to be played before, the southern tour is made, providing that the remaining challengers, for the shield Tare played 'in September. Acting on this decision, the local association has sot apart the following dates' for shield fixtures :—September 4j Thames; ' September 11, Wellington; September 18, Manawatu; September! 25,- Hawke's Bay. .■''•:,

The.semi-final round of.the key Association's senior grade championship was played to-day,, when United beat Grafton by nine goals to" nil, and University and Auckland drew, each side notching a goal. ; Auckland and United have now H points each to their credit, and the final will •be. played'at Remuera next Saturday.
