Matches cannot be played with Nelson and Taranaki, owing to boat arrangements proving unsuitable. The Now Zealand Association has notified the Auckland body that no matches other than the Taranaki match will have, to be played before, the southern tour is made, providing that the remaining challengers, for the shield Tare played 'in September.
