About 50 members attended,'and ' it was resolved that a deputation, should i interview tho Harbour Board on matters connected with the union. A committee was nominated, to deliberate and propose t resolutions, to bring before the Harbour "Board. 00. Juno 1, Mr. 'D. . M'Laren 1 (Secretary),' and four raembors of the union ' mot, and conferred, together with closed doors On June 2, at the appointed time, the,deputation met the Harbour Board, submitting matters to the board, \vhich tho union is entirely ignorant of, thus transgressing one of the rules of the union, viz., Rule 9, which? reads: "Each section* of ■ ers» shall of superyisioV over-all Matters direc,tljt?aliecting their owif class of work, provided that no decisions arrived ', at by any section shall be acted upon unless approved of by the Executive Council " Now, sir, as this Rule 9 was ignored by the "participants" of those allegations, obviously they must bear all responsibilities attaching to such charges Thanking you in anticipation of tho insertion of this let- ' ter. —I am, oto., JOHN LARWOOD.
