Bennett, ? resented Messrs. Striart Robinson -and. W. H. 'ollock with life membership badges, Mr. H.: A. Lamb .irith :tho Palmer 'Cap' for .handicap events, and Mr. i ,1 ., :Hodgson with the/ Novice Handicap ; Trophy. : Mr.' WV, A. Low hns also been bkcted a ; life. member, but as he is just now away from Wellington, he will reoeivo his badge, later-. ; :' ; : ■ ~ , , ; . In presenting the -.life membership badges Mr." Bennett gave some , , account of the eervicca and exploits, of-their winners.- Mr. Low was an old Dunedin athlete, has .been long associated with amateur athletics, and. for three years held .the New Zealand championship, for li miles; He was the first chairman 6l the present harriers, and was insti-Q : ■ mental in procuring' for the club the fine road-race challenge ehield. Mr./W. H. Pollock hna had a most successful career on the track. He .was closely connected with the formation of the harriers, and he and Mr. Stnart Robinson were treasurer and secretary of-the harriers and Wellington Amateur Club for/some years. "He has probably done more for amateur sport than any other half dozen men vin Wellington," said Mr. Bennett. Mr. Pollock, has represented the province on' several occasionß, and represented New Zealand aU the' Australasian championships fixture in Sydney. Mr Stuart Eobihson nas been connected with the sport for fourteen, years. He took part in thß runs of tie old harriers' club in 1893. and was associated with ;Mr. Pollock in building up the sport in this city,
