A municipal strike occurred at Broken Hill throughi-.tlie action of the Mayor in displace ing eight single men to • make way for a similar number of Unemployed married men'.
Tho Municipal Employees' Association ordered a strike, with the result that all tho civic; services, including the electric lighting,, were suspended. ' ; , ■ •
Tlie Mayor then reversed his action, and work was resumed. , • .■'•.
