A committee, consisting of Bros. J. Hoyhoe, G. Hursey, S. W' Cresswell, and P. Gilbert was appointed .to act, in conjunction with the Good Templars'; in arranging a church parade. The receipts for tho evening amounted to £53 ss. Id. ■ ' ' At a mooting of tho Hibernian Society oil Tuesday evening, tho officers were elected for fho ensuing year:—President, Bro. L. Richards; vice-president, Bro. A. Curry; secretary, Bro. S. O'Rogan; treasurer, Bro. J. Waters; warden, Bro. C. Hcnncssy;» guardian, Bro. J. Curry;, auditors, Bros. W. Redmond and B. Chapman;' sick visitors, Bros. H. J. O'Leary and F. Trcader. Robertson, editor of the journal, then inado a few suggestions as to. liow the , journal might be used, and proceeded to read;the various papers, , which were entitled: "How to Make Life a Success," ".The Makers of' English Fiotion," ."How to Control Children," "Is Gambling a Sin?" "For Men Only" (verses), ."On Beginning the Day Welt" and ; " The Force of Habit.!! The.Rev. J. White read one'.of the papers, and Mr.. Robertson the remainder.'
