'PUBLIC NOTICES. 1 KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL. i , PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN. I In the matter of "Tho Local Bodies' Loans Aot, 1908," and tho amendments thereof. [ [ __ f NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of < the Borough of Karon proposes to raise ( a Special Loan under the powers conferred upon thorn by 'The' Local Bodies' Loans Act, ' 1903," and its amendments J 1. Tho particular purposes for which tho ' loan is required are— (a) The construction of an extonsion of tho n Eleotrio Tramway from its present ter- - minus opposito Section 31 along the i Main Road to tho junction of the Main ' Eoad with the South Karon Eoad, and , ( the construction of all such road work s as shall bo deemed conducive to the safo I and efficient working of tho tramway . i, and for the protection of traffio on tho (b) Tho purchase and erection of a stone- } i crushor with appropriate machinery and storage bins for tho preparation of tho ballast required for the tram lme. 1 2 The sum proposed to bo borrowed is I .£27,500, of which it is estimated that .£25,050 J ■ will be required for the tramway and v,orks " i incidental to its construction, and .£2450 for t the stone-crusher and appurtenances. ] 3. Provision will bo made for repayment of the loan by means of a sinking fund of £1 per .- centum per annum of the amount of the loan , 'i ' during the ourronoy of tho loan.
