' Tho body of a stock drover named Thomas Lambert, late of Porangahau, was found at noon to-day in an outhouse with too throat cut. Evidently the man had been dead several days. ' \ v A LITTLE GIRL DROWNED. v '' Advice has been received by Inspector • Ellison, from Blenheim, to the effect that a littlo child, Ruby Constance Bright, aged three and a-half years, was drowned in tho Awatero River yesterday morning. Mr- John Bright, of Wald's Hill, with his wifo and throo ■children, was crossing tho river in a trip bound for Blenheim, wlion tho trap capsiwxl, and tho youuecet child (Ruby) was drowned.
