Practically tie whole of the reserve has' now been' oloared of the ■rank, grass, etc.,. which -blotted it. until .theworkmen commenced operations,-and:a start has been made with turfing work from the Pirie Street corner! .Tho.whole'length' .is.to;be turfed, and will have a walk up the centre, so that the completed reserve will form a playground -for, the children of the. srir-' rounding ' district and a picturesque parade. Tho sides of .'tho stops' at Moturoa Street and Moore Street are to.be :planted,:and another small area at theend.of Tinakori Road arid Thorndon Quay is also to be tended; Additional'planting is also to be.put in hand at' the Nairn Street reserve at an early .date. : : .
