THE SECTIONS FOR, BOYS AND GIRLS. (By Telcgraph.-Special Correspondent.) • / Palmarston North, June 19. Pointed'notice has previously been drawn .to .the great attention paid''hitherto by the association to the educational features of the mtional Dairy Show, and., it.- is. perhaps worthy of remark that, the same characteristic may also be noted in connection with tho shows in England and America. ■ Tho encouragement' to education is especially prominent in the division forthe display of the results of garden experiments and naturestudy collectibns undertaken during tho current year. Classes in those sections will be contested by nearly all tho schools in the district, excepting tho town schools," and the collective display is suro to be verv interest-, ing. Nino or ten schools each class, and competition is certain to be keen/ Similar conditions obtain in the natural .history classes, and-the association may easiiy be _ congratulated 'upon the groat interest which these departments in- tho show havo created. .. The association have also placed a decided draw on, the programme, for the- second day of the show, when threo football matches are to be played. There should be a splendid at- : tendance at those for both systems of the national game—Rugby and. Association—will be exhibited by clever exponents.
