It was held by the board that, under tho Act, they aro not required, to• admit a patiout when isolation can be otherwise effected, and, as both tho health officer and medical man who aro treating tho case certify that the' patient can bo isolated, it was decided to wiro Dr. Valintino (Head of tho Health Department) to that effect, and also to point out that, as tho hospital is already full, jt was considered that tho patient Bhould bo isolated in her own home. \ FLOURMILLERS' ASSOCIATION. ARE SOME FIRMS CUTTING RATES? Oamaru, Juno 19. Tho suggestions mado in a Duuedin Press Association telegram that tho Oamaru mills outside" the Milling Association. are selling at prices ss. below those set" by the ossociation would seem to lack foundation. In. fact,, two local mills are now out—Clark Bros., and Ireland and Lauder—because they both considered their outputs greater than'.they were given credit for by the association j but, there has been no cutting, for tho reason principally that Oamaru flour can command tho best price. .It is not considered likely here by some millers that a new agreement will be adopted for a considerable, time to como, as the firms now out will remain out until next season at least, owing to contracts that have been entered into.
