Error above TJpparHtttt township, had ro|can±ly bean tmder his notice. Hi# observations had convinced him tJxai tb» pictaro was not an overdrawn one. Very Berions damage had been done, and mora was threatened. At present tins matter did not directly ooccern tho board, but in, his opinion tihe River Board district was altogether too circumscribed. A River Board should havo control of a river from iia source to its mouth. Ho thought that if formal representations woro made to' tie board that btody would probably move in the direction of having itsjnnsdiotion extended, at any rate to UppOT Hufat township. He would suggest tlint tho persons interested call a public meeting, as was done nt Taita, and tako the necessary preliminary steps to that end.
