The order, paper, which is 'now' in courso of preparation from tho remits roccived from the provinces, will be ready to be issued about a week henco..

It was nt'one time considered possible that owing to tho proposed prorogation of Parliament tho date_ of tho' conference would be fixed for later in tho year, it being tho. usual endeavour to so arrango,tho conferenco that its decisions on matters affccting legislation Diay oonie promptly before tho of Parliament. - -In the present instance, fiowerer, it is realised, that if the conference followea tho example of,tho Government, the interests .of the. farming community as affected by "tho .work -of tilio oonference would suffer. It iSj thorefore, decided not to wait till l'arliameint roassomblcs—in the farmers' busy springtime—but to proceed with tlio conference at the usual period. • .
