GOOD CHEESE EXHIBITS.',; A Press Association' messago from Inver-.j cargill states that the annual winter-show of tJio Southland A. and P. Association opened, yesterday. Entries constituted a I record; the increases being'' chiefly in roots and in tho cookery section. The collection of roots was. a magnificent one, turnips and mangolds being of size and texture never previously seen at T this show. Fruit, grain, and seed, though not outstanding features, were fully up to past standards in quality. The cookery section was probably the most extensive yet presented by the association, and the judge's comments on different exhibits were very complimentary. The Government exhibit forms one of the most interesting features of the show, and is the subject of general public praise. It is considered that results will justify the extension of the show to three days.
