In faco of this statenwnt', it is unlikely that we will resumo lending untfl tho future position is more assured. Possiyy it suits tho Government for several milliooj of capital to leave tho country. His must bo t.he result of continuod legislation increasing the burdens on the land, and making 'ho mortgagco in every way , responsible should /lo have tho misfortane to havo to take over landed properties."
