CARTERTON NOTES.
On Saturday next dairy factory delegates will meet at Carterton to consider the ousiness to come before the annual meeting of the National Dairy Association. A proposition that, the Wairarapa P. and A. Society should amend ils rules governing the butterfat competition, so that persons milking five cows and over will bo eligible to compete, will come up for consideration. At'present 'the contest is confined to dairy factory suppliers.' '■'.■' The Carterton Gun Club ha-s decided to hold a clay bird match , on Thursday week. This is the first Thursday "shoot" held by the club, for some time, and, if it succeeds, the club intend holding such meetings periodically. . ' . ■
