The "Berliner Tagoblatt," commenting on the proceedings at tbo Imperial Press Conforenco, says the speeches of Ministers, actual'and prospective, woro intended to frighten the colonies into making extraordinary ' sacrifices for tho Navy. .Thoy must not bo taken too tragically. The "Vossischo Zeitung" laments that the speeches at the Press Conference are addressed to the colonial gallery. When colonial goodwill had been attained, another song "would bo sung in London. The "LokalAnzeigcr" says tho speeches at the conference, with the preceding events, suggest that England has gradually reached a state of mind permitting the worst to bo feared. ANGLO-GERMAN AMENITIES. • VISITS OF PASTORS AND LABOUR MEN. " London, Judo 11. The British Labour members of tho House of Commons, who have been on a visit to Germany, have returned. Thoy ore enthusiastic in regard to Germany's peaceful disposition.
