There was a meeting of the ' Provisional Committee of 'the Pioneer Club yesterday afternoon at the, home of the president, Miss Mary Richmoiidj when a number of members were- present. Miss Dolly Webb, who leaves ; -for Nelson next week, is' at present etnying with Miss Bessie' Fitzgerald, and yesterday aftornooii Miss Fitzgerald • gave a very ploaennt little tea as a farewell for her. Tho floral decorations were very pretty; red , berries■ and autumn leaves were used for tho tea table,, and tho drawing-room was decorated with autumn foliage. :,Tho was an amusing eompe-; tition during tho nfternoon, which was won: by Miss Ethel M'Kellar; Miss Fitzgerald, wore n blouse of crdam net with cream skirt, and Miss 'Webb wore a white net blouse with white skirt; Miss Muriel Webb, palo bluo frock and very large hatwith roses. Among tho Euosts wore Miss Prouse,' in dark bmo coat and skirt,-with gold coloured hat; Miss Perkins, pink coat and skirt, trimmed with black buttons and pink and black hat; Mrs. F, M. B.
