BEEF TRUST.
MR. KIDMAN LAUGHS AT INVASION,
(BI TBLEGIUriI—I'EESS ASSOCIATION—COI'TUIGnT.I x Sydney, June 8. Mr. Arthur Kidman, tho. well-known .Cattle King," states that when-ho* was in London last Ootobor, ho talked over with Armour's, the American meat firm, the question of extending the Beef Trust to Australia'. The idea, however, was pooh-poohed, and it may still be pooh-poohed.
■ In Mr. Kidman's opinion, all talk of theTrust operating in Australia is ridicnlous nonsense. It would be a good thing'if the Trust did make a purchase of meat in Australia, for that was all it would' do. There was, however, no prospect of its extending its operations here.
