A sum iof £150 was set aside to meet compensation claims in connection with the proposed new Plimmorton-Pukerua Road. r . The collapse of a bridge on Woods' Section Road was reported by tho inspector, who recommended that tho old structure bo removed. In his opinion, there was no need . ~ r^P'aca 1G bridge, a ford being quite sufficient for all tho traffic over tho road, lhe Wainui-o-mata. Road, from tho top of u ■ the Swamp Rftad, - was reported to be in need of repairs,'and tho council decided to have'the road attended to.
Tenders were' received for. the deviation of ■ten chains of. road between : Judgeford and - Moonshine. They were considered to be too high, and tho council decided to carry out the.,work by day labour:' .
II Mr - Richardson (Day's Bay) asked if the xonncil would sell or', lease its stonecrushing plant: l The council fixed the-selling price at £400, and agreed to leaso it at £3 per week.

Bongo, and twonty-four others, had been forwarded to the Department, .and .it'.was desired tq make full investigation. : Clifton County Council asked whether the council approved of the. principle of differential, rating over a special rating district, instead, of. the-level rato in .vogue at present. The council did not approve of tho proposed amondment, and . decided to.take .no action:

Messrs.. Burdan Brothers .wrote -agreeing to allow, the use- of.-the old- track to. Orongorongo, on conditiori that a gate and drain wero supplied by the council. Councillor U akehara, with the. inspector, was author ised to complete the arrangements. - Application was made by Mr. W. Nicol to have the.road comploted to.his section, purchased from the Bolton Estate. The council agreed to pay for three days' labour, if Mr. Nicol would bear the other half-sharo of tho cost. '7 ■
.; Messrs; Gray and Jackson stated that the sections which gave access to the. beach at Paekakariki,- could not'be transferred to the council, but would be reserved as'a means of access. •' .
