Tho "Kangaroos" (Australian League | team) beat' the Now Zealand team by 26 points to 21. Tho teams were. Kangaroos—Back: Wooloy; three-quar-ters: Js'rawloy, Conliu, RoseDfeldt, Chcadlo, halves. Butlor and Holloway, forwards. O'Mailoy,; Poarco, Graves, Courtnoy, Cann, and Noble. ' New Zealanders—Back: G Spencer, threequarters': Rowe, . Barber, Buckland; fiveoighths. Hooker and George, half. Houghton ; forwards: Tfevarthcn, Spencer, Lile, Sullivan, Byrne, and' M'Donald. The weather.was fine, and the'attendance was 18,000. Tho game was fast and vigorous throughout. 'The New Zealanders, who were apparently not in thoir best form, after tho voyage, did not get fairly going till well into the second half. They promiso, when they have : played togethor a little more, to give a 1 much bettor account of themselves. 1 Now South Wales were faster, had better | combination, and woro superior m open work. The visitors wore hotter. in the .ruck.
The first half ended: Now South Wales 15, Now Zealand 3. The Now Zealand score was an unconverted try secured by J. Spencer. In'the second half the New Zealanders put in somo splendid work, and at ono timo had 16 points to their credit against New South Wales's 15. ■ Tries were obtained for New Zealand by Barber (2), Lile, and Rowe, of which Houghton convorted three. Tho tries for Now South - Wales were obtained by Rosenfeldt (who scored four, of which two were convorted), and by Prawloy and Colin, who scored ono'oach. Tho formor was'converted; Colin'also kicked a penr alty goal. AMATEUR RUGBY. "WALLABIES" BEAT A NEW SOUTH WALES TEVM ' (Rec Juno 5, 710 pm ) Sydnoy, June. 5. Tho "Wallabios" (the Australian amateur Rugby team that toured England) defeated New South Wales by 21 points to 15.
