In forming a Ministry, Mr. Peako, the now State Premier, was thought to. have two courses open to him—ono boing to surrender the Premiership to the Labour party, and become lieutenant in a Labour Ministry!; the otkcr,boing to form a coalition with tho following of Mr. Riohard Butler (a former Minister in the Kingston and Jenkins Governments and now Leader of the Liberal Opposition). . v Mr. Peake, however, took a third course by ignoring both'the Labour arid Liberal partics, and, on the' strength of a following of eight, formed an Administration of his own.
