REPORTED CONTROL OF ARGENTINA.

BUY—OR CRUSH? INQUIRIES IN AUSTRALASIA. (Rec. June 6, 5.5 p.m.) London, Juno 6. Tho New York correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that the Beef Trust of Chicago, which it is believed already owns tho Labianca Company, is negotiating to secure tho control of the remaining four or five other important meat plants in 'Argentina.

'The sum at present asked by the ATgentino owners is considered by the Trust too high. The Trust's agents at, Buenos Ayresare therefore about to-report whether Jt would bo advisable to sccuro control of the Argentine plants or to crush them by direct competition. Inquiries on behalf of American interests are also to be made in Australia and: New Zealand with a view to supplies from thoso countries being controlled by the trust.
