Soveral statements have been published recently ax to tho position which will bo finally allotted under tilo reorganisation scheme to Mr. liisset, editor of publications m the Department of Agriculture. Tho latest js that he will bo associated with Mr J Cowan in tho editing of sovoral of the Govl ernment's publications. Mr. Bisset has special quaMcation for tho work. Ho learned tho wool trade- in all its branches both in his birth-place (Edinburgh) and in London ana also at tho samo time acquired an acquaintance- with farm stock and general agriculture, for four years ho had chargo of tllo import department of a leading colonial merchant's house in London. Thus his familiarity with the subjects dealt with' in tho agricultural and commercial publications is-well grounded. On tho literary side ho continued m New Zealand his English association with tho newspaper press by becoming editor of tho "Asliburton Mail" and agricultural editor of tho "Canterbury TimeV' ?™ no was appointed editor of publications in tho Department of Agriculture about three years ago. He is tho author of tho booklet, "Agriculture in.Now Zealand," published during the timo of tho Now Zealand International (Exhibition in Christcburch, of which two edition* pf 60,000 oopiee have been Issued. ,
