Mr. Douglas Young, British vice-Consul, in his annual report/ on German South-West Africa, has presented a torriblo picture of the rosults of the Hcroro rebellion. From 1905 till 190" it is estimated; that 120,000 nativo men, women, and children porished. Thoro uero 75,000 victims of war, pestilcnco, and fnmino in tho year ending in March, 1907, nlono. Tho Consul adds that tho remembrance of j this torriblo mortality ,is likely to restrain . tho present generation from renewing hostilities with, tho protecting Power.
