A middle-aged woman, named Mary Eartnoll, pleaded guilty to a charge of importuning, and was convicted and fined 405., in default 14 days' imprisonment. William Woldon, a carrier, was charged with having, on May 31, committed theft of two boxes of butter valued at £5 55., tho property of J. B. MacEwan and Co., Ltd. Accused was remanded to Juno 4, bail being allowed in the sum of £10, and ono surety of Two first-offenders, were convicted and discharged, and two others were fined ss. each:
