The building will consist of two -stories, the Jtpper being the gymnasium proper, a commodious room, 08ft. (Jin. long by 34ft. wide, which, when equipped, should be a most up-to-date convenience for the recreation and exercise of the students. Adjoining the main,/ room. are. u. storeroom, lockerroom, and men's dressingvooni, with shower-baths. Tho ground floor is intended to_meet the social requirements of college life —debates, dances, and meetings—which, aro at present held* in a somewhat cheerless apartjment on the ton floor of tho college building." Tho new social hall, which is 48ft. by 34ft., is estimated to' accommodate, at a pinch, some 500 students. Adjoining this .hall are a supper; room' and Indies' room. The whole is constructed of wood and iron, and when formally opened, probably about tho time of the annual capping ceremony, should be a much appreciated and popular resort of the students in their leisure moments..
