Australian States and one '• for .New Zealand,' while the latter ■desired equal; representation for New ; Zealand'and Australia.' .' The 'conditions proposed are W follow :-t- _ (1) That a council, to be called the Davis Gup Council oFAu'stralia with. New Zealand, be formed to control competitions* for the Davis Cup,'wheu ! it is to be held in Australasia, to. arrange all the.details thereof; arid to select''jflajing representative's 'to defend? or compote for. the cup. :■ • (2) Tho" Australasian Association and the New .Zealand .Association to .'elect oils representative" to such co'undl _for every 4000 bona 'fide .tennis players belonging ; to clubs,: in Australia: and New, Zealand respectively; . . (3) That the competition- for, the .Davis Cup if or 1909." shall be'held in-Sydney ;■ that the nrst competition thereafter' to take place in Australasia be hold ih New Zealand ; .that thereafter, whenever : the competition is. 'to be held in jAustralasia .it shall be held .twice running in' Australia: and 7 once in' New Zealand on every three occasions. .
