At the meeting of the Charitable Aid Board yesterday thero wna read a memorandum fronv tho Minister foi Hospitals and Charitable Aid (the Hon. 6. Fowlds), in which it- was stated that ' Dr. M'Arthur, S.M.; of ■Wellington, had been appointed to sit with the commissioners np-. pointed by the Oharitablo Aid Board and by the Mastei-ton- County Council, to inquiro into the" matter, in tonus of Section 28 of tho Hospitals and Charitable'lnstitutions Act, i9os. :•■■■•■. Mr. It. C. Kirk, chairman of tho Charitable Aid Board, was appointed, to sit on the commission as representing tho board; Mr. \V. B. Mathicson, of Rongomai, is tho representative commissioner for the Mastorton .County Council, which body took the initial steps in tho matter, and practically rcpre.' sents tho whole of the contributory bodies. Tho commission will sit on a. date to bo fixed by-.tbo chairman (Dr. M'Arthur).
