Messrs. Hudson'and Marriott. Levin, report as follows:—We held our monthly sale of hides and skins .at our Levin wool store yesterday. There was an, exceptionally large attendance of bnyers, and bidding was very keen for all lines offered, every lot being quitted under the. hammer; ' Sheepskins shgwod a .considerable advance on the previous sale, good salted skin; being in demand. Cow hides and 'calfskine were also keenly competed.for, while heavy oj hides were hard to quite at late rates.. W« quote:—Crossbred fleece in bags, 53d.'. to Gd. locks and pieces, 2d. Skins: Lambs, green, Zs, 2d.; crossbred, preen, 2s. lOd, to 4s. 9d.j halfwools, Cd.; woolly lambs, CJd-; fine wools. GJd.j seedy skins, 43d'.; dead,sJd.; salted skins, 35., is. 5d., 4s. 6d., 4s. 9d., to 4s. lOd. Hides: Medium ox, s|d.; medium cow, sj|d.; heavy cow, 5Jd.; farmers. 43d.; bulls, 35d.; green cow, 145.; yearlings, 5Jd.; calf, sound, :7|d. to 8!d. cut, s|d. Tallow-, in casks, 235. 3d.; tins, 19s. 3d.
