OBITUARY
MR. WILLIAM DEANS LYON, Mr. William,Doans Lyon, .secretary of tho Stewart Timbor 1 and Hardware Company sicca its incoption, and accountant for tho Messrs. Stewart for many [years prior to that, died at his residenoo, "Tho Don," Wellington Torraoo, on Friday afternoon, after a k>ng and trying illness, borno with great fortitude. Mr. Lyon had not been himsolf for a couple of years past. A year ago his complaint became aggravated, 'and, though operated on, the disease could only bo checked. The deceased was tho second son of tho late Mr. William Lyon, ono of Wellington's earliest settlers, who resided for a great many years in Boulcott Street (on the site of Mr. Eobort Hannah's residence), and was a brother of Mr. H. M. Lyon, secretary of the Now Zealand Underwriters'- Association. Ho loaves a widow (neo Miss Alexander) and four children.
