A gentleman, who lived for some time in New Zoaland, writes as follows to a Cantorbury friend in regard to "tho Dreadnought otter:—"Now Zealand has come,to tho front again as usual, and is first into the field with hor offer of a battleship to England. Our trade is (duo to them) quite crippled; all capital is being invested outsido tho country, and none of them soem to look ahead beyond boing able to show n good balance-sheet at their next annual mooting.
