Miss Catherine Aulsebrook, the Auckland contralto, will represent New Zealand in tho programme of the Empire Concert to be held in the Albert, Hall on Empire Day, May 24, under tho direction of Dr. Charles Harriss. Father Heunessy, of Dublin, Assistant Superior-General of the Christian Brothors, was received in audience by the Pope last week, on his return from inspecting the educational establishments of his congregation m New Zealand arid other parts of the Empire. His Holiness showed, groat interest in, I'nther Hennessy's report, and an intimate knowledge of the educational problems of tho countries ooncorned.
