DETAILS OF THE YEAR'S EXPENDITURE.

WHAT THE PRIME MINISTER DID NOT DISCLOSE.

SOME HEAVY INCREASES.

In the Government Gazette, bearing to-day's date, details of the public accounts for the year ended March 31 last are published. Early in the present month' the Prime Minister announced the total revenue for the past financial year as being £9,001,185, a decreaso of £54,761 when compared with tho revenue of tho preceding year. He also announced that tho total expenditure had been £8,785,513, an; increase of £571,548 over that of the previous year. The details of the increased expenditure were not supplied, but the Gazette published yesterday supplies the omission. The figures, which are of exceptional interest, are given below. On the revenue side wo publish the ordinary and territorial revenue; while on tho expenditure side the permanent and annual appropriations are given. REVENUE.
