Replying to a question'in the House of Commons, the First Lord of tho Admiralty, Mr. M'Kenna, stated that—though lie had promised, on March 16, that an order for parts ■ and mountings for the jour Dreadnoughts provided for in the Naval Estimates would be placed immediately—no order had yet been placed!' The First Lord added that at present only two firms' in Britain make gun-mountings., ' Mr. T. M. .Healy (Nationalist) sarcastically suggested that the Government should apply to Krupp's.
