MIRAMAR'S GASOMETER.
Tho Wellington Gas Company's new rosholder at Miramar, previously described, fully in The Dominion, is now completed, and is at present undergoing the usual' tests, for soundness and efficiency before being handed ovor by the contractors, Messrs. Clayton, Son, and Co., of Leeds. One portion/ of the testing process is the search for leaks.. This is done uy painting over tho joints of the plates with soapy water so that any escaping air. makes a small bubble/ '■■ ■'■- . •. ; The which; ia, now inflated to'its full height .'hy means of au air-pnnip, benrs the distinction of being tho largest gasholdor in tho Dominion. Hecontly a : mutually satisfactory agreoment was completed between tho Miramar Borough Council and tho company in regard to the terms upon which gas is to bo supplied to the residents of that borough, and it is oxpected that tho. Gas Company will soon be in a position to commence tho reticulation.
