The funeral of the lato ,Mr! D. M. Luckie which,took place, in 'the- Karori Coinetefy on Saturday, was very, largely attended. Among, those present were the Hon. t! Mackenzie, Mr. J.. H.-Richardson (Government Insurance Commissioner), heads of branches of the Government Insurance Department. Mr. J. H.. Ottorson (Clerk of the I House or Representatives), doctors, and legal men, and numerous older residents. Sir Joseph Ward, who was away from Wellington, forwarded an' expression of regret £hat ho could not be-- present. The chief mourners wero 'Messre. Philip 'arid Martin Luckie (sons), Mr. T. ; S; Ronaldson (son-in-law)/ and the two Masters Ronaldson. Wreaths wore sent,by the Primo Minister and Lady-Ward, the Government Insurance Department; the Public, Trust Office, the Tolophono Kxchange,'. the Wollcsley. Club, tho 'Wellington Cricket Association, Wellington Cricket: Club,,, and the directors of the Great Northern \ Bravery Company, Auckland. Tho sorvico at- the deceased's lato residence, and at the gravo, was' conducted by-the. Rev. James ;Patorson.
