NAVY LEAGUE.

Last night's, monthly meeting of. the local exeisutive-qf the Navy League was attended by MrJ J. B. Harcourt'.'(in the, chair), Liettt.-' Colonel G.F.C. Campbell, Capt.A.'V. Jones, Messrs. D. M'KeUar/E. J. Le Grbve, E.'Darroch, J.M. Butt, and C..JV-. Palmer.i" - ■ ': The date of the regular monthly meeting was ,nxed'for. the first Thursday of each month.''' The committee approved the hon. secretary's :actipn in sending naval lanterm slides for use at.Masterton, and in ordering a further small supply of; new slides from London. His action in approaching the various outside harbour boards regarding '. the advantages ■ of nightSignalling at the lighthouses was also approved.
