HOMING PIGEON RACE.
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society flew a race on Tuesday from Blenheim for a tea service,.presented by Mr. .W.. Wnkelin. Sixtynine birds, representing thirteen lofts, competed. Tho. winner' took an-hour and a half to-cover the'4B riiiles. 'The leading birds were as follow.—Mr. C. Haynes's No. 3GI, velocity 930yds'.' per minute, l;: Mr. A.
