1 During Easter week' a bazaar 'was held by the Catholics of Wellington South for the purpose of raising funds to aid in the building of a new church in Kilbirnie and also to assist the general parish accounts. The bazaar resulted in a net sum of close on .£450 being realised. On Wednesday evening tho lady 6tall-holdors, assistants, and othors who worked so hard to aehiove the splendid success attained wero entertained by tho Von. Archdeacon Devoy at a social' gathering. St. Anne's Hall, the hewly-erectod hall for the men's club, was thrown open to tho guests, as.was tho largo schoolroom adjacent Dancing •: and cards wore indulged in, and. those present partook of an excellent supper before departing.
