AN AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT AND LABOUR EXCHANGES. . : London, April 30, . The Budget includes a sum of £200,000 to promote afforestation, a similar sum for a new Agricultural' Development Department, and £100,000 'for labour exchange buildings. ■ The rebate on petrol (on which a new duty of'3d. a gallon is proposed) is ljd., not H-> in tho case of commercial vehicles. It is stated that the tax represents £7 16s. on a taxi : oab per annum, and £15 12s. per. annum on a motor-bus. : Private cars will hereafter pay from- twico to twenty times the amount of - the former license, ■ ■ FALL IN MOTOR COMPANIES' SHARES. ■ (Reo.
